We’；re seeing some amazing quilt work here that we have to share. These are just a few of our favorites.
Susan Kyle’；s quilt titled “；All The Best Parties”； is a whole-cloth quilt that she free-motion quilted and is the winner of the Best Machine Quilted Framed category. Susan was inspired by what’；s left over on the morning after a fantastic party—rings left from glasses of wine， coffee， and other spirits on a white tablecloth.
What an amazing quilt!
Hillary Goodwin’；s quilt titled “；Shine a Light”； demonstrates some very creative piecing that creates simple circles and triangles set into square blocks.
We also loved the simple， straight-line quilting that creates a kind of cross-hatch pattern across the quilt.
This quilt made by？Nora Renick Rinehart shows an incredible re-use of materials. The patterned fabrics are utilitarian drop-cloths used in fabric printing， and are incorporated with hand-dyed solid colors to creat this fantastic patterned quilt titled “；Incidental Collaboration.”；
We loved seeing all the interesting patterns and colors in this quilt!
Stephanie Skardal’；s quilt “；Going Up”； won Best in Show， and features large scale traditional log cabin blocks that create high contrast， graphic lines， and negative space.
Straight-line quilting highlights the shapes in the quilt. A very modern take on the traditional log cabin block.
We hope you enjoyed our mini-tour of the QuiltCon 2018 show， and be sure to follow BERNINA USA on Instagram and Facebook to see more!
Despite their small size, side tables are among the most flexible and functional pieces of furniture around. They’re more than just a place to set your drink – these versatile players can provide much-needed storage, serve up food and drink in style, and occasionally, can even pinch-hit as extra seating. Plus, their modest proportions and low price-point makes them an easy way to play around with different finishes, colors and shapes in your decor.? Don’t limit yourself to matching sets – mix and match them throughout your space to achieve exactly the look and utility you’re after. Here are some things to consider when choosing side tables for your home:
This years not so hot summer has already seen parts of the country deluged with water, combine this with the quintessential English steadfastness which sees summer slip into autumn in a matter of weeks to be inspired as to the colour schemes which are dominating the market this autumn and winter in the world of interior design. The usual autumnal colours such as orange, reds and deep greens remain firm favourites, however this year the colour trend is to tone things down a bit and opt for slate grey skies, moss green and browns tones used against powerful contrasting brights such as fuchsia pinks to create dramatic interiors which have a homely, warm appeal.
As parents, one of the most important decisions we make for our kids is the food we choose for them. Food preferences, tastes and habits start early in life and we can teach our kids to love healthy options by starting them off with the freshest, most delicious options. With a culture that tells us that babies, toddlers and kids hate to eat healthy, how can we ensure that our kids choose good food options and actually enjoy fruits and vegetables?
