custom wedding gifts Deep in the Heart of Winter cards by Betsy Skagen personalised birthday gifts
Christmas may be over， but here in the Northland， winter is just hitting its stride. January is the month of arctic blasts and bone-chilling cold. February brings more of the same. While other parts of the country can begin thinking about spring in Marchcustom wedding gifts， here in Minnesota we brace ourselves for the inevitable blizzard.
I am Betsy Skagen of Paper Calliope and until that day when I get to move to a warmer climate， I will embrace this north country–；not by snowshoeing or ice fishing–；but by making some winter-themed greeting cards.floral pillow cases
Both of the cards I will show you how to make， use the Snowflakes on Ivory paper.
Cut Snowflakes on Ivory paper to 4.25″； 5″； rectangle. Color in snowflakes with fine-tipped gel markers in assorted shades of blue and purple. Adhere rectangle to greeting card base.
Cut strip from Farmhouse Christmas Stripe on Ivory and color in with markers. Adhere to blue foil cardstock.
Adhere strip to greeting card with three-dimensional foam adhesive.
For the second card， spritz the Snowflakes on Ivory paper with？Glimmer Mist Sapphire，？Glimmer Mist Dragonfly and Baseboard Mist Paint-Iris， drying between colors.
Color in the snowflakes with a Silver Sharpie.
Cut the deer from the Farmhouse Christmas Stripe paper.Color around it with a purple pen and adhere it to a circle cut from silver cardstock.
Glue a？ silver tinsel ribbon to a sheer silver ribbon. Adhere both to Snowflake paper and wrap around to back side.
Adhere the Snowflake paper to a greeting card base. Attach the silver deer circle over the ribbon using three-dimensional foam adhesive.
Now all that is left to do is to make sure you send out your cards before winter ends and the snow melts! Thank you for stopping by the Canvas Corp blog.
Have a fantabulous day!

Just because Christmas is over does not mean the time to create ornaments is over. Make a door hanger instead! Door hangers are versatile and can be used anywhere in a house. They are perfect with a little stamped “Do not disturbed” image for craft rooms or bedrooms.? The Mini Origins Wings are the perfect backdrop for a sweet little Tattered Angel Door Hanger. The wings are printed on a high quality super absorbent paper that works beautiful with paints and mists. For this project I used Glimmer Mist on them, but you could use paint too!
It's bound to make a splash.
